Scholarships
Financial
Every scholar receives a monthly book allowance of € 150 (it is envisaged to raise the amount to € 300 in 2013). Depending on the family’s financial situation scholars are granted subsistence of up to € 597 per month. This also applies to students how begin their studies abroad. Scholars with a child receive a family allowance and a lump sum for childcare. The scholarship is a grant, not a loan. In addition, subsidies may be paid towards health and care insurance if scholars are not covered by their parents’ health insurance.
Academic programme and mentorship
Every scholar is invited to use the various offers which the Studienstiftung provides. They are described in the section on “Sponsorship”.
