Language courses
A good command of the country's language is the necessary prerequisite for a stay abroad. Therefore, the Studienstiftung offers its scholarship holders language courses in Great Britain, France, Italy, Spain, Poland, and Russia. Courses in Arabic, Chinese and Japanese are held at Bochum University. Additional scholarships are granted for courses in other languages organised by the scholars themselves. A proportion of the language courses is financed with the support of the Dr. Jürgen and Irmgard Ulderup Foundation.
