Monthly book allowance for all scholars, subsistence dependent on parental income. Mentorship and academic programme.

PhD Fellowships

Financial: 1,150 € research grant. Programme: meetings of PhD students, summer academies, language courses.

Mentorship

Two personal advisers: a personal tutor at the university and a member of staff at the Central Office of the Studienstiftung guide the scholar in regular meetings.

Summer Academies

Programme for one or two weeks. Intensive subject-related work in small groups with distinguished academic experts.

Academic "Kollegs"

In-depth subject work over a period of two years: continuing work in small groups with leading academic experts. For scholars from the middle of their undergraduate studies onwards and with an interest in current research topics.

Meetings of PhD students

Networking for PhD students from related disciplines. Presentation and discussion of dissertations.

Scholarships abroad

Scholarships for study, research and work placement visits abroad.
