Every scholar has two advisors: a professor as local personal tutor and a member of staff at the Central Office of the Studienstiftung. Scholars may turn to either of these contacts for advice on study matters at any time.
The personal tutors are responsible for a group of ten to fifteen scholars from different subjects at any one time. They keep in direct contact with the scholars and initiate group activities.
Regular consultation times and meetings at the university locations give staff and scholars an opportunity for personal exchange.
Communication between the scholar, the member of staff and the personal tutor is also facilitated by scholars’ study reports. In these reports scholars reflect on their studies and their extracurricular interests and activities and sketch their plans for continuing their studies.
The Studienstiftung has funds placed at its disposal for events which the scholars may organise themselves in coordination with their adviser at the Studienstiftung.
