Cooperation
Even after the termination of funding, many scholars identify with the Studienstiftung and want to help current scholars have the same kind of formative experiences they have had themselves.
In this respect, the Studienstiftung profits to a high degree from the voluntary work of former scholars. A significant number of alumni take part – at the invitation of the Studienstiftung – in seminars to select new scholars. Many professors work as lecturers at summer academies, academic Kollegs or as tutors supervising scholars at their universities.
Alumni abroad support scholars during study and research visits by providing information on study- or country-related issues or by helping them find accommodation, a place at university or a work placement. Through the Daidalosnet, the Studienstiftung’s Intranet, alumni are invited to advertise events and vacancies (work placements, jobs for diploma and doctoral candidates as well as salaried positions). Filling in the online form only takes a few minutes.
