Bucerius Law Programme

It takes more to achieve a successful career in Law than excellent exam results. Additional qualifications, such as experience abroad, thorough knowledge of foreign legal systems and proficiency in foreign languages, are crucial. The Bucerius Law Programme aims to provide outstanding law graduates with the opportunity to gain these qualifications by supporting research and study projects worldwide.

Form and content of the project (minimum duration: six months) are at the discretion of the applicant. Masters Programmes (including LL.M. Programmes) cannot be funded unless they include a research project. The programme is open to unconventional proposals.

In addition to a generous maintenance grant, the Bucerius Law Programme provides its scholars with a travel allowance and covers part of their tution fees. The programme is financed by the Dr. Gerd Bucerius Estate and the ZEIT-Foundation.[ Details in German ]
